OKC Youth Invitational
The 16th Annual OKC Youth Invitational will take place Sunday, April 12, on the Oklahoma River in the Boathouse District.
More than 500 youth rowers from five states are expected to compete in this spring event. Hosted by RIVERSPORT, the regatta is free and open to the public; parking is $10 with proceeds used to support youth rowing programs in Oklahoma City.
Student athletes representing 13 rowing teams from Texas, Kansas, Oklahoma, Missouri and Arkansas competed on the Oklahoma River in the 2024 annual regatta with more than 800 spectators at the event making it the largest OKC Youth Invitational to date.
Crews competing at the 2025 event included:
- RIVERSPORT OKC Juniors
- Dallas Rowing Club
- Hockaday School (Dallas)
- St. Mark’s School (Dallas)
- Tulsa Youth Rowing Association
- Founders Rowing Club (Dallas)
- Episcopal School of Dallas
The event is an important warm-up for crews as they get ready to compete at the USRowing Central Youth Championships in May in OKC.

About the event
Started in 2011, this rowing competition began with four teams and has grown to include teams from around the Central Region. Coaches and volunteers run this casual regatta, so novice and varsity crews can gain 2000 meter race experience on the Oklahoma River in preparation for USRowing Central Youth Rowing Championship each May.
