Outdoor Adventure Camp at Lake Overholser is a half-day summer camp in Oklahoma City for children ages 8-13, hosted at the Lake Overholser Boathouse. Campers learn water-safety basics while exploring Oklahoma’s native ecosystem along the North Canadian River, Stinchcomb Wildlife Refuge and surrounding outdoor areas.

Camp Experience

Designed for youth seeking outdoor and nature-based summer camps in Oklahoma City, campers spend their mornings exploring the outdoors, learning water-safety fundamentals, and connecting with nature through guided activities.

Camps are open to both boys and girls, and no prior experience is required!

Activities may include:

  • Guided nature treks in nearby natural areas
  • Fishing, kayaking, canoeing and dragon boating
  • Stand-up paddleboarding on the North Canadian River
  • Nature observation and ecosystem exploration
  • Outdoor games and team activities
  • Scooter rides and trail exploration around Lake Overholser
