RIVERSPORT welcomed 150 competitors from 10 clubs for the 2025 RIVERSPORT Indoor Rowing Challenge! How many competitors can we expect this year?! Entry is open to anyone in the community who wants to see how they rank against their peers. Athletes are invited to train at home or at their gym.

RIVERSPORT also offers indoor rowing workouts on Tuesdays and Thursdays at the Community Boathouse.

Athlete Rules & Information 

Warm-Up 
Warm-up ergs available in the 2nd Floor Warm-Up Area. 

Event Classes 
Open: No age restrictions 
Masters (no handicapping, age on race day): 
A: 24–35 | B/C: 36–49 | D/E: 50–59 | F/G: 60–69 | H/I: 70–79 | J/K: 80+ 

Equipment & Competition 
• Concept2 Model D ergs used for all races 
• Drag factor may be set before race only 
• Drag factor changes during race = DQ 
• Open to all experience levels 
• Athletes must compete under their own name 

Attire & Safety 
• Shirt & shorts required (warm-up and event floor) 
• Uni-suits/all-in-one suits permitted 
• Headphones discouraged for safety 

Heats & Awards 
• Multiple heats may be used 
• Placings by best overall time 
• 1st: Championship Hammer | 2nd–3rd: Medals 
• Awards by age, weight & gender classification 
• Athletes eligible only in entered events 

Team Events (4 athletes, 4,000m relay) 
• Awards to top 3 teams by highest total average meters 

Adult (19+) 
• Women’s 4+ 
• Co-Ed Mixed 4+ (min 2F / max 2M) 
• Open 4+ (any gender ratio) 

Youth (19 & Under) 
• Co-Ed Mixed 4+ (min 2F / max 2M)
