Help More Kids in the Boat

The Boys in the Boat dynamic is playing out every day on the Oklahoma River as youth from under resourced communities have the chance to row – but only through the generous support of those in our community who underwrite the cost. As in the movie, youth have life-changing experiences and the opportunity to compete for collegiate scholarships.

Show your support for this initiative by sponsoring an athlete, a school team, a set of oars, or an entire boat with a custom naming and branding opportunity and special christening event.  All donors of $1,000 and up will receive their name on a seat in one of the boats of the RIVERSPORT fleet.

Why Row?

Rowing is a lifelong sport that can be enjoyed both competitively and recreationally. Often recognized as the ultimate in teamwork, it offers a complete workout that includes cardio, strength training, flexibility, coordination and balance – and it requires a level of focus that will clear your mind and refocus your energies.

Beyond the physical benefits, rowing is a sport that builds trust, teamwork, and bonds that can last a lifetime. Rowers have a great community both here and across the country. You’ll find rowers hanging out together after practice, enjoying social get togethers and, of course, celebrating the camaraderie that comes from racing – and winning! – together.
