Looking for a great introduction to the sport of rowing? OKC RIVERSPORT’s Learn to Row program allows you to go from complete beginner to a novice rower in just one month. You will learn how to scull (row with two oars) over eight 2-hour lessons in one month; sessions are offered July-October. Participants will gain a basic understanding of rowing technique, water safety, boat handling and navigation on the Oklahoma River.
Learn to Row graduates will have the opportunity to join our Masters programs at the conclusion of the course or enroll in the Intermediate Class, which will provide you with a more advanced understanding of sculling. Upon successful completion of the Intermediate Class, you’ll have the skills to row on your own during open rowing sessions or join our Masters Rowing Program.
Lessons are held on the Oklahoma River in the Boathouse District. We look forward to welcoming you to the rowing community!
