Where do we check in?

If you are doing team building in the Boathouse District, please check in at the Whitewater Center unless otherwise directed.

Where should I park?

Parking is available in the lot across the street from the Chesapeake Finish Line Tower; let the parking attendant know that you are arriving for team building. At the Lake Overholser Boathouse, park at the boathouse or to the west in the parking lot adjacent to adventures.

What should I wear?

Dress for comfort! Shorts, sport pants, athletic shoes and hats are all good choices. If the weather is breezy, consider dressing in layers. Don’t forget the sunscreen and bottled water, and if you think you might get splashed, an extra set of clothes.

Where should I put my valuables?

Lockers are available  – choose from one use ($2) or all day ($10) options. We also sell water-resistant cell phone bags for $5. Aside from necessary keys and wallets, please leave all other valuables at home. We are not responsible for any lost or stolen items.

What if the weather is bad?

Windy or inclement weather may make it necessary to temporarily close one or more adventures; we will re-open as soon as the weather clears. We typically close for the day if the forecast includes:

•  Chilly temps – 50 degrees or less
•  High winds – Sustained speeds of 25 mph
•  Heavy rain – 80% chance or higher

What paperwork needs to be completed?

All participants will need to fill out a RIVERSPORT waiver. If participants are under the age of 18, a parent or guardian will need to complete the waivers. Save time by signing your waiver online; look for the floating link on this page.

If you’re rowing you’ll also need to fill out a US ROWING Waiver.
