About RIVERSPORT Rapids

RIVERSPORT Rapids is Oklahoma City’s whitewater center and is geared for both family fun and world-class canoe/kayak competition. In June, 2024, it was announced as the venue for Canoe Slalom for the LA28 Olympic Games pending approval by the Los Angeles City Council.

RIVERSPORT’s state-of-the-art whitewater facility is one of only a few in the world and was designed by the same team that developed the UK’s Lee Valley White Water Centre for the 2012 London Olympics.

While it offers an Olympic caliber experience for whitewater canoe/kayak athletes, RIVERSPORT also welcomes families for rafting and tubing. The center also offer lessons and teams for those interested in getting involved in whitewater sports.

RIVERSPORT is a bucket-list destination for travelers and is located in the heart of Oklahoma City within walking distance of the city’s Bricktown Entertainment District and just down the river from the new OKANA resort.

The $45.2 million whitewater center was completed as part of MAPS 3, a one-cent sales tax initiative dedicated to metro area projects.

RIVERSPORT whitewater center grounds are open to the public at no charge so guests can see rafters and kayakers in action during the summer season. Day passes and season memberships are available for whitewater rafting, tubing and RIVERSPORT Adventures.

Whether you’re coming for a “bucket list” adventure or an afternoon stroll, we look forward to welcoming you to Oklahoma City’s whitewater center at RIVERSPORT!
