Whitewater Rafting Team Building Information

RIVERSPORT Rapids Adventure Park is geared for rafters of all levels – no prior experience is needed! The state-of-the-art aquatic facility is one of only a few in the world, and offers a wide range of activity choices. Bring your group to build your communication and work together for a common goal as you complete a relay race of on-land activities like a Jenga block build and a race down our new speed slides. Your group will relax and discuss what you’ve learned while eating a quick, healthy snack to refresh before hitting the waves. After a quick land and safety lesson, participants will don life jackets and helmets, grab their paddles and climb aboard. You will finish your day with an extreme adventure as you and your group surf through the Class II-IV whitewater rapids.

The experience takes approximately four hours and the schedule would be as follows:

  • Welcome and introduction
  • On-land adventure relay
  • Snack and debrief at the SandRidge Youth Pavilion (food and beverage included)
  • 90 minute whitewater rafting experience
About the RIVERSPORT Rapids Whitewater Rafting Center

Built as a project of MAPS 3, a one-cent tax inititave, the $45.2 million whitewater rafting and kayaking center was completed in 2016. The facility was designed to accommodate all ages and experience levels, and the Class II-IV rapids allow for slalom kayaking, family fun on a raft and even tubing! The park includes two channels that provide different challenges for participants, a stage for concerts and community events, an outfitter’s shop and a restaurant. RIVERSPORT Rapids is a world-class destination, and is fun for the entire family.

In the event weather conditions make it unsafe to hold an outdoor or on-the-water team building experience your group may choose to reschedule your experience for another day.

Weather conditions that make it necessary to reschedule an on-the-water experience include:

  • Sustained winds averaging 25mph or higher
  • Air temperature below 40 degrees or above 100 degrees
  • Heavy rain (experiences can be held in light rain/mist)
  • Lightning
