Scholastic Youth Rowing League
The RIVERSPORT Scholastic Youth Rowing League gives Oklahoma City area middle school and high school students an opportunity to learn the sport of rowing as part of a school team – or even a club or other organization. No previous rowing experience is required. RIVERSPORT provides coaching, equipment and program coordination.
Each school is required to provide one volunteer or faculty sponsor to recruit students and coordinate logistics. Teams practice 1 to 2 days per week over 12 weeks and race in a season championship under the lights on the Oklahoma River in front of family and friends. The league offers Spring and Fall seasons with championships in May and November.
Any Oklahoma City metro area school is welcome to join the program; it is free for Title 1 schools. Contact us to learn more about getting a team started at your school!
Join us in thanking the Community Partners who make the league possible!
