RIVERSPORT OKC Social Media Residency Program – Terms & Conditions

Rules and Regulations

  1. Overview: RIVERSPORT OKC is proud to offer the RIVERSPORT OKC Social Media Residency Program to social media leaders in the Oklahoma City area. Carefully selected winners will document their trips on days selected by RIVERSPORT OKC and share them with their social media communities. The ideal candidate is proficient in social media platforms, as well as content creation, including but not limited to writing, photography, and videography. No professional experience needed.
  2. Who Can Apply: Legal residents of Oklahoma, who are at least eighteen (18) years of age, as of the date of the submission of the application. Employees of RIVERSPORT OKC are not eligible for selection.
  3. Application Period: 12:00 p.m. on Friday, March 1 – 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 30.
    1. How to apply: the application can be found at riversportokc.org. Applications will ONLY be accepted online. The form must be completed in its entirety.
    2. Partial or incomplete submissions will NOT be accepted. RIVERSPORT OKC will determine whether an application is incomplete.RIVERSPORT OKC may acknowledge receipt of applications but is not obligated to do so.

      Limit one (1) application per person.

  4.  Review of Application: Applications will be reviewed by a judging panel consisting of designated RIVERSPORT OKC employees. While the judging panel has set a target of accepting five (5) applications/granting five (5) awards, the judging panel may select fewer than five (5) applications if the judging panel determines that an insufficient number of qualified applications have been received.
    1. The judging panel will evaluate applications based on the following criteria: writing skills, photography and videography skills, social community engagement and online personality. The judging panel will also take into consideration the degree to which the applicant would function as an effective endorser of RIVERSPORT OKC.
  5. Content Guidelines: In addition to complying with all other requirements of these terms and conditions, each applicant must comply with the following guidelines. If an applicant is in violation of the Content Guidelines, the applicant will be disqualified from the program. Each applicants posts and profiles must not:
    1. Contain content, images or materials that violates any third party rights of any kind, including any third party privacy, publicity, trade secret and/or intellectual property rights, including third party registered and/or common law copyrights and trademarks;
    2. Disparage RIVERSPORT OKC or any person affiliated with RIVERSPORT OKC or the RIVERSPORT OKC Social Media Residency Program, RIVERSPORT OKC products or services, or services or entities affiliated with RIVERSPORT OKC;
    3. Contain content not created by and original to the applicant unless approved by RIVERSPORT OKC;
    4. Contain content that is misleading, inappropriate, indecent, obscene, hateful, tortious, defamatory, slanderous or libelous;
    5. Contain content that reflects advocates or promotes bigotry, racism hatred, harm or exploitation against any class, group or individual, discrimination based on race, gender, religion, nationality, disability, sexual orientation or age, or actions or activities that are restricted, prohibited, illegal or unlawful;
    6. Contain content that advocates violent, reckless, irresponsible or otherwise unhealthy behavior.
  6. Notification to Accepted Applicants: Persons whose applications are tentatively accepted will be notified by e-mail. Failure to respond to the initial verification e-mail within three (3) business days after notification or return of e-mail notification as undeliverable after three (3) attempts will result in disqualification. If applicant cannot be contacted for any reason, applicant will be rejected.
  7. Awards, Approximate Retail Values:
    1. Award (Up to 5 in total): A RIVERSPORT OKC Social Media Residency consisting of four (4) pairs of RIVERSPORT OKC Day Passes to be used on four separate days selected by RIVERSPORT OKC between May and September, 2019. Additionally, award recipient will receive four (4) pairs zip line passes and up to two (2) lockers to be used alongside RIVERSPORT OKC Day Passes.
      ARV of Award: up to $552. If value is less than $552, award recipient will not receive the difference in cash.
    2. Any costs and incidentals not specified herein are the award recipient’s sole responsibility; this includes, clothing, gear or souvenirs from the Outfitters Shop or Youth Pavilion, food and drink from Big Water Grill or Youth Pavilion, and additional raft trips or zip line trips. No upgrades, substitutions, cash redemptions or transfer of awards is permitted except with RIVERSPORT OKC’s permission (which may be granted or withheld for any reason) or where required by law. RIVERSPORT OKC may award a substitute award of equal or greater value for any reason.
  8. Additional Conditions: RIVERSPORT OKC reserves the right at its sole discretion to disqualify any individual at any time. RIVERSPORT OKC’s failure to enforce any term of these Terms shall not constitute a waiver that provision.
  9. Indemnification: Selected influencer agrees to indemnify and hold RIVERSPORT OKC and its partners and employees harmless from and against any and all claims, expenses, damages, suits, costs (including reasonable attorneys’ fees, costs and settlement costs), demands and/or judgements whatsoever, due to: (A) your breach of these terms; (B) accident or injuring in the Boathouse District; and/or (C) your violation of any rights of another individual or entity. The provisions of this section are for the benefit of RIVERSPORT OKC, its partners, and each of their respective members and employees.

RIVERSPORT OKC Social Media Residency – Terms and Conditions of Residency

  1. The following terms and conditions (the “Residency Terms”) shall apply in the event that an applicant is selected to receive a RIVERSPORT OKC Social Media Residency Program Award. An applicant that has been selected for an award is identified as “you” or “selected influencer”. The Residency Terms supplement, and do not replace, the Application Terms. By accepting an award, you acknowledge and agree that you have read and accepted these Residency Terms in their entirety. You must not accept your position if you do not accept these Residency Terms.Selected influencers are required to post four (4) times within 48 hours of their trip to social media. These posts can be spread across all social media channels, including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and YouTube. Influencers are required to tag RIVERSPORT OKC in every post so we can track the success of the RIVERSPORT OKC Social Media Residency Program.
  2. RIVERSPORT’s Rights to Residency Materials: Residency Materials includes, but is not limited to, any video, photo, and written content created in association with the RIVERSPORT OKC Social Media Residency. RIVERSPORT OKC and its partners have permission to use all RIVERSPORT OKC Social Media Residency Program creative created by selected influencers for development, use, sale, and/or commercial use in the promotion of RIVERSPORT OKC and its programs and partners.
  3. Trip Companion: On the day of each visit, RIVERSPORT OKC will provide complimentary day passes to one guest selected by the selected influencer. Additional complimentary passes may be awarded based on criteria determined by RIVERSPORT OKC. Trip companions not awarded complimentary passes may participate in the trip with a paid ticket on a separate reservation.
  4. Trip Dates: Selected influencers and their companion/s will be required to participate in RIVERSPORT OKC adventures on dates preselected by RIVERSPORT OKC. If Selected influencer is not available on the preselected date, additional plans may be made at the discretion of RIVERSPORT OKC.
  5. Content Guidelines for Residency Materials: In addition to complying with all other requirements of this Terms, all Residency Materials must comply with the following guidelines (Content Guidelines).
    Residency Materials must not:

    1. Contain content, images or materials that violates any third party rights of any kind, including any third party privacy, publicity, trade secret and/or intellectual property rights, including third party registered and/or common law copyrights and trademarks;

    4. Contain content that is misleading, inappropriate, indecent, obscene, hateful, tortious, defamatory, slanderous or libelous;
    5. Contain content that reflects advocates or promotes bigotry, racism hatred, harm or exploitation against any class, group or individual, discrimination based on race, gender, religion, nationality, disability, sexual orientation or age, or actions or activities that are restricted, prohibited, illegal or unlawful;
    6. Contain content that advocates violent, reckless, irresponsible or otherwise unhealthy behavior.

You acknowledge and agree that in the event of your violation of any of these Residency Terms, or in the event that RIVERSPORT OKC otherwise determines that continuation of the residency is reasonably likely to damage the reputation and goodwill of RIVERSPORT OKC, RIVERSPORT OKC has the right to immediately terminate the residency.
