Nowadays, when he’s not working at RIVERSPORT Rapids, he is a teacher's assistant and a track coach at a local middle school. His advice for first time rafters is to have fun with it and not to be scared of the water! |
![]() Daniel | Meet Daniel! This skilled 39-year-old has had plenty of practice along the rivers of Peru and Chile. Since being in OKC, Daniel has enjoyed the cooler temperature outside in OKC versus what he is used to back home. His longest rafting trip adventure so far was a seven day long journey down river in the jungle of Ecuador. His tip for first time rafters is the first splash is very fun! |

Gato loves running along the rivers and he has light blue eyes, which are rare where he is from. His tip for first time rafters is to have no fear going into it and to trust your raft guide. |

No swimmers in my raft, that’s the number one rule”, said Magagani. The 37-year-old joins RIVERSPORT Rapids from South Africa. This is his first time in the United States and he enjoys going to the park to relax. |
![]() Kumar | Kumar is originally from Nepal and learned to become a raft guide in Turkey. He met his wife in Turkey when she was on a raft trip on another boat and the raft tipped over. Kumar came to her rescue, and their love story began right then and there! |

![]() Patrick | Patrick is an OKC native, born and raised. The 20 year old, environmental studies major enjoys spending his free time kayaking and recently started puzzles with his mom. Fun fact about Patrick, his last name means “tickle” in German, but he is not ticklish! Patrick appreciates the friendly and smaller community OKC offers, as well as the OKC Thunder! ![]() Ryan | Ryan is a St. Louis native who found himself in OKC this summer. Needing a summer job, he discovered RIVERSPORT Rapids and quickly picked up the skill of raft guiding. After the season, he plans to finish his senior year abroad in Italy studying economics and international business. His tip for first time rafters: Trust your guide and stay in the boat! |

When he’s not working as a raft guide, he helps his parents operate their family-owned pharmacy as a tech. ![]() "Zim" | Meet Zim! He grew up on shores of the Zambezi River, where he became a river and safari guide. In 2000 he joined the Zambian rafting and freestyle kayak team, which allowed him to compete all around the world. Zim has rafted and kayaked on more the 100 rivers worldwide, including the Amazon Basin in South America, Australia, the French & Swiss Alps, and the Spanish Pyrenees! |

He loves how clean Oklahoma City is, seeing all the cows and horses in the fields, and how affordable it is to live here. For first time rafters, Nathan recommends that if you fall out of the boat, not to panic, float on your back, and act like it’s no big deal. |
