The 14th annual Oklahoma City University (OCU) Head of the Oklahoma regatta took place on the Oklahoma River September 29-30, 2018 as part of Oklahoma City’s premier fall event, the Oklahoma Regatta Festival- celebration of rowing, kayaking, dragon boating and family fun on the Oklahoma River.
In addition to the OCU Head of the Oklahoma, this year’s festival included OGE NightSprints and a family festival featuring live music, food from some of Oklahoma City’s most popular food trucks, a beer garden, and a front row seat for all of the races! Every year the Oklahoma Regatta Festival happens in the Boathouse District on the Oklahoma River, adjacent to downtown Oklahoma City and the Bricktown entertainment district. With a sidewalk following the Bricktown canal to the Oklahoma River, crews staying in Bricktown hotels can easily walk to the venue.
The 2019 Oklahoma Regatta Festival will take place October 4-6, 2019. Registration for the Head of the Okahoma will open in summer 2019.
