About Canoe/Kayak

Kayaking is another fun way to get on the water and it’s open to everyone ages 8+. OKC RIVERSPORT gives kayakers access to some of the best water in the OKC metro including downtown at the Oklahoma River and at Lake Overholser. The RIVERSPORT Junior Canoe/Kayak Team for kids ages 8-18 focuses on Olympic style sprint racing. Adults – try a Discover Flatwater Kayaking class to learn the basics of the sport!

Whether you’re new to the sport or an experienced paddler, you’ll find lessons, camps, and more to get you involved! New to the sport? The Lake Overholser Boathouse is one of the best places to kayak in central Oklahoma. Quiet waterways are a great place to learn the basics.

Located on the east shore of Lake Overholser, the Lake Overholser Boathouse offers hourly kayak and SUP rentals as well as youth sprint kayaking programs. Kayak rentals are also available at the Boathouse District, downtown at the Oklahoma River.
