The Devon Boathouse offers advanced technology and training resources for both Oklahoma City University collegiate and USRowing National High Performance Center athletes, and can also be accessed by those with a Lifestyle Pass.
Dynamic Propulsion Rowing Tank
The world’s first dynamic propulsion rowing tank, the Stillwater Design tank provides both moving water and – a first – moving rowing stations. Accommodating both sweep and sculling for up to eight athletes, the tank includes a camera system to project side profile views of the athletes’ rowing technique onto the wall facing the rowers. The projection technology can also be used to simulate racing at a variety of venues. (First floor)
Endless Pool
An “endless pool” swim tank offers hydrotherapy jets and benches for multiple athletes as well as a training room area with therapy tables and ice baths. (Second floor)
Extensive Strength & Conditioning Facilities
The Devon Boathouse’s extensive strength and conditioning facilities include treadmills, ellipticals, plus kayak ergs, and strength training machines. A free-weight area features Olympic-style weight training with a camera system showing replays of lifting technique. (First & Second floor)
High Performance Training Center
The High Performance Training Center features state-of-the-art audiovisual technology to allow both coaches and athletes in-depth performance review. (Second floor)
Concept 2 Self-Propulsion Lab
Thanks to the generous sponsorship of Concept 2, the Devon Boathouse offers the Concept 2 Self-Propulsion Lab, featuring 50 Concept 2 ergs, including the new dynamic models. (Second floor)
Athlete Amenities
- Men’s and women’s locker rooms including showers, dressing areas and 60 lockers each.
- Four boat bays accommodating up to 100 boats and a repair bay. Boat bays have direct access to launching inlet.
- Group fitness including strength training and cardio classes.
