NIE Waivers for foreign athletes and staff
NIE waivers are no longer being issued and all previously issued ones are invalid.
If an athlete needs an invitation letter, s/he must contact Tamara Adelberg at least 60 days before competition; please include your legal name and passport number. If you are within that window and are still needing assistance, please email as soon as possible.
At this time, any foreign national entering the US is required to provide:
- Visa or ESTA
- Proof of full vaccination against COVID-19
- Accepted Covid-19 Vaccinations are found here: https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/travelers/proof-of-vaccination.html#covid-vaccines
- Or, proof of exception from the requirement
ACA is working on a potential travel waiver for certain categories that do not meet these requirements, but as mentioned above do not have one now.
Visa appointments and processing are extremely delayed due to COVID-related backlogs at US consular posts. We would encourage anyone who needs a visa to apply as soon as possible to get into the system. If they apply and don’t receive an appointment date that works for them, they can go back into the system and apply for an expedited appointment. After that, if they still have not received an appointment date that works for them, please let us know and we will be happy to assist.
Entries and accreditation requests will be on PaddleGuru.
Nominal entries close: Date to be announced
Each athlete competing must be entered by name.
Team personnel must also be submitted for accreditation at this time. These entries will be used to produce the accreditation cards for all teams.
Entries or accreditation requests sent directly to the committee or the competition organizer will NOT be accepted.
RIVERSPORT will be following health and sanitary measures designed to reduce risk of exposure to COVID 19. Detailed information to be provided closer to the event date.
During the event period RIVERSPORT will provide first aid service. Please note that this medical service will cover only emergency cases and that all participants are responsible to arrange, at their cost, their own medical insurance policy.
