Swiftwater Rescue Training
Are you a whitewater kayaker interested in learning the essentials of river safety and rescue? Certified RIVERSPORT instructors offer one- and two-day Level 2 American Canoe Association Safety & Rescue Courses at RIVERSPORT Rapids in Oklahoma City. Boaters will learn recognition and avoidance of common river hazards, execution of self-rescue techniques, and simple rescues of paddlers in distress. Oklahoma State University Partnership
Oklahoma State University conducts swiftwater rescue training, a part of its internationally respected fire protection and safety training program, at RIVERSPORT Rapids in the Oklahoma City Boathouse District. The Kayak Boathouse, located on the east end of the rapids, is the headquarters for the program.
